Class Descriptions
YING YOGA- SLOW & GENTLE:
A Yin style yoga class will include longer, more passive holding of specific yoga poses. With the use of props that will help you relax into the poses this class is very gentle and can be restorative.
Known as the perfect yoga for hip and back pain.
Poses are held with focus on the breath to assist in deepening the poses with time. Yin targets the connective tissue around joints which can be deeply opening within the body. All levels welcome.
FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH:
Join Steven Hendriks for this full body strength circuit that utilizes a wide variety of equipment
in both our group fitness studio and our strength and conditioning room.
Prepare to sweat!
PILATES CORE, STABILITY AND BALANCE:
A combination of dynamic Core, Stability & Balance exercises. A series of flowing and challenging movement sequences, using various props to replicate the famous Pilates Equipment and provide a total body workout.
Strengthen your core, feet, legs, hips and vestibular system all of which enhance balance, while also improving coordination and reducing risk of injury!
YIN YANG YOGA:
LEARN THE BASIC FOUNDATIONS OF KEY HATHA YOGA POSTURES AND BREATH FOCUS
WHILE FLOWING GENTLY FROM POSTURES THAT INSTILL STRENGTH, BALANCE, CORE, AND
MINDFULNESS.
PILATES CORE, STRENGTH AND STRETCH
A combination of dynamic Core, Strength & Flexibility exercises. A series of flowing and challenging movement sequences, using various props to replicate the famous Pilates Equipment and provide a total body workout.
This class will help you develop core integrated strength, muscular endurance and improve range of motion in the spine hips and shoulders.
*We recommend booking classes at least 24 hours in advance as we need a minimum of 2 participants for a class to go ahead. The class will be cancelled for that day if there are not 2 or more participants registered 24 hours ahead of the scheduled time. This is to give the instructor enough notice to fill that cancelled slot with another appointment.
